Tulane University, New Orleans, LA
VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF CHEMISTRY

10/89-6/93
University of California, San Diego (Scripps Institution of Oceanography ) La Jolla, CA
SEA GRANT TRAINEE.
Investigated antibiosis in microbial isolates from an estuary in Southern California and a mangrove in Belize. Purified and identified many known antibiotics and several novel antibiotic and anti- inflammatory compounds.

10/88-10/89
RESEARCH ASSISTANT.
Isolated several potent neurotoxins from gorgonians. Made semi-synthetic analogs to study the structure-activity relationship between the toxins and the acetylcholine receptor.
