Dr. Guillén-Castrillo

Dr. Guillén-Castrillo received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, in 1996. She also did postdoctoral work at The University of Iowa, in 1997. Previously, she received a M.S. degree in Computer Science from NMSU in 1993. She also has a Diploma in Signal Processing from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France, a Master in Systems and Planning from Universidad Iberoamericana, México, and a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Her research interests include: Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing including Machine Translation, grammars and automatic lexical extraction. Temporal representation and reasoning in scheduling and planning. KDD and Data Mining techniques and Machine Learning methods to be applied in intelligent information extraction and retrieval. Text mining applied to the Biomedical field.
